Warning to the free world: Watch out for BRICS
If you haven’t heard about BRICS, you’re probably not in the minority, because, although the entity was founded back in 2009, we haven’t heard too much about it until recently.
BRICS is the amalgamation of several countries, including Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Other members are also Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In all, member countries, make up around “40% of the global population and 24% of the global GDP.”
In Neville Teller’s article, titled, “BRICS is no friend of Israel,” he asserts that “it’s primary purpose is to provide an alternative to Western-led institutions such as the G7 economic group, seeking to reduce reliance on the U.S. dollar in international trade.” Teller sees it as a way to assist Putin’s agenda and goals, which are focused on changing the global balance of power.
While this should be worrisome to all free and democratic societies, given the types of oppressive governments, represented in the above-mentioned member states, it is likely to impact Israel worse than any other nations, and here is the reason why.
Up until now, the U.N., well-known for its highly prejudicial stand on the Jewish state, consistently votes against it, in an attempt to impose punitive measures for what it refers to as excessive and heavy-handed treatment against Palestinians and Gazans. Of course, this is nothing more than a very biased misrepresentation of Israel’s right to defend her nation and people from surrounding enemies, whose main objective is its complete destruction. Fortunately, those efforts have been thwarted by other nations who have usually voted on the other side, avoiding the total isolation of Israel as the world’s pariah.
Now, if BRICS succeeds to build a solid bloc, where everyone has a vested interest in crushing Israel, what is to stop them from coming against us in any way they see fit? A united, resolute BRICS could economically penalize Israel or forbid its defense against those who seek its destruction. In fact, there is no end to what could be accomplished when a new governing body puts their heads together to concoct their own “final solution” for the Promised Land.
At their recent summit, which took place in Russia from October 22nd -24th, a declaration was given wherein eight paragraphs were devoted to the condemnation and denouncing of Israel, citing an “escalation of violence” without casting any blame or placing any responsibility upon the Hamas terrorists who are responsible for the initiation of the violent October 7th massacre.
Ironically, while the term, “mass killing” is employed, it refers to an act perpetrated by Israel rather than by Hamas. Also referring to “forced displacement,” they failed to recognize that hundreds of thousands of Israelis have, likewise, been displaced, once again, all as a result of Hamas’s detestable actions.
In fact, all of their vicious claims against Israel are unsubstantiated, without any provable facts upon which they can rely to make their case. That includes false charges of humanitarian aid being permitted to get to those in need of it.
Probably most absurd is their continued call for a two-state solution, in the midst of “river to the sea chants,” which reject the idea of any shared territory with the Jews. Predictably, that would include a return to the borders of 1967, meaning that whole parts of Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and other territory, today, fully recognized as belonging to Israel, would have to be relinquished, allowing those, who are vehemently opposed to us, to assume the benefit of almost 60 years of infrastructure development as well as everything else that’s been built in those areas. How convenient for them that we have done all the hard work which they now hope to inherit!
The Kazan Declaration, name for the Russian city where it was created, reads as a damning indictment against the State of Israel, charging her as guilty of all accusations, without ever once recognizing Hamas and Hezbollah terror groups, along with others, who have been the proxy fighters of Iran, assigned to do the dirty work of the country which endeavored to keep her hands clean so that U.S. money could still flow into her coffers.
Consequently, BRICS has taken over as the world’s cop, judge and jury, pronouncing judgment upon the Jewish nation, making sure that it is seen through the hateful lens of her most ardent enemies. And while all this is as distressing as it sounds, Western countries, who have traditionally stood with Israel, also have much to be worried about. They will, undoubtedly, find themselves in the untenable position of having to align with BRICS or also incur the ire and castigation of yet another agency which does the bidding for anti-Jewish sentiment.
Given the mass migration of Muslim populations into Europe, Australia, the U.S. and other locations throughout the world, is it a surprise to anyone that we are seeing a huge shift in the political winds of these governments? A good example is that of France’s president, Emmanuel Macron who would, ordinarily be expected to side with Israel, given the brutal massacre of her citizens, but who, instead, chose to enforce an arms embargo on us.
By doing so, he has thrown in with Israel’s enemies, an act which will, surely, endear him to his very sizable Muslim community, something he will need if he hopes to retain his political power. Adding salt to the wound, Macron decided to ban Israeli firms from a Paris arms fair, preventing these companies, “for the second time this year, from presenting at a major defense expo in Paris.”
Not to hold the unique distinction, other nations have also begun pulling away from Israel, including the U.K., Canada, Netherlands and Spain, all of whom have suspended arms sales or export licenses to Israel. It’s only natural to wonder how long will other countries hold out, perhaps paying a steep price for continuing their support of Israel?
And where will that leave the U.S.? Will they go the way of the U.N. and BRICS or will they have the gumption to support the country which they claim is their greatest ally in the Middle East?
There will surely be a coordinated effort to bring down Israel if BRICS has its way. That is why the nations of the world should be prepared to face them head on, because if they don’t, they will, sadly, be swallowed up by this immovable force which is charging through with all its might to change the world’s balance of power!
