National Religious Broadcasters Convention to host former President Donald Trump and Israel's tourism minister
Joel Rosenberg to speak on Hamas war and Israel’s international relations
ALL ISRAEL NEWS is attending the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) convention in Nashville, Tennessee, this week.
NRB’s annual convention is the largest Christian media convention worldwide, seeing thousands of attendees from across the range of Christian media. This year, approximately 4,000 attendees will be at the convention between Tuesday and Friday.
As in previous years, on Thursday, there will be a special 'Breakfast to Honor Israel' featuring guest speaker Anat Sultan-Dadon, the Consul General of Israel to the Southeastern United States.
Israel's Tourism Minister Haim Katz is expected to attend the conference and the Ministry of Tourism is hosting a booth to promote tourism to Israel, as are several tourist agencies, including believer-owned Sar-El Tours.
Katz recently stated that “2024 will be characterized by faith-based and solidarity tourism.”
“The NRB convention is a key event to garner support and promote travel to Israel. The American market is the largest source market for Israel, with the highest figures for incoming tourism, and very significant for the Israeli economy,” Katz said.
The Christian community represents just over half of all tourists visiting Israel eachyear, with the number of Evangelical Christian visitors having increased in recent years.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to address the NRB convention on Thursday night.
NRB President and CEO Troy A. Miller said: "Over the years, NRB Convention has been honored to host presidential candidates to speak directly to the community of Christian broadcasters on national issues of Christian concern. In this crucial year for our country, there is no better venue for these important conversations than the NRB Convention.”
Miller told USA Today why the NRB decided to invite Trump this year.
“I can say, from all of the people I meet with and talk to, and from personal experience even in my own family with lifelong Democrats, Trump has this appeal,” Miller said.
“People feel he understands them. Even though some of his life stuff doesn’t fit into their personal lifestyle or morality, they still feel like he gets them.”
ALL ISRAEL NEWS Editor-in-Chief Joel Rosenberg will attend the NRB Convention, where he will lead a forum entitled: “Israel’s War with Hamas and Future Relations with the US and the International Community.”
National Religious Broadcasters is a nonpartisan, international association of Christian communicators whose member organizations represent millions. While attendees come from a variety of denominations, most are within the Evangelical movement.
