20:48 - Trump appoints former Gov. Huckabee US Ambassador to Israel

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump announced in a statement on Tuesday that he's tapping former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee as U.S. ambassador to Israel.

"I am pleased to announce that the Highly Respected former Governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee, has been nominated to be The United States Ambassador to Israel. Mike has been a great public servant, Governor, and Leader in Faith for many years. He loves Israel, and the people of Israel, and likewise, the people of Israel love him. Mike will work tirelessly to bring about Peace in the Middle East!" Trump stated.

20:32 - Israel's President Herzog meets US President Biden at White House

Israeli President Isaac Herzog arrived at the White House in Washington, D.C., to meet with U.S. President Joe Biden.

According to media reports, they were set to discuss the negotiations to end the fighting in Gaza and Lebanon, the tensions between Israel and the Iranian regime, and the 30-day U.S. deadline for Israel to increase humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip this week.

19:06 - IDF destroys most of Hezbollah's missile production sites and warehouses in Dahiyeh

The IDF announced that over the past months, it has destroyed most of Hezbollah's missile production sites and warehouses in Dahiyeh, the terror group's Beirut stronghold.

"During the attacks, many secondary explosions were detected, proving the presence of weapons in the attacked infrastructures," the IDF stated.

"One of the main sites that were attacked was revealed by Israel already in 2020 at the United Nations, along with several other sites. The site was established in the heart of the al-Shufiyat neighborhood, under a complex of five residential buildings containing about 50 families and about 85 meters from a school."

"This site is designed to produce a variety of weapons components, including long-range precision missiles that can hit the entire territory of the country and are a central component of Hezbollah's precision missile project funded by Iran."

The IDF added that "advance warnings and calls for the evacuation of the population are made before the attacks, as well as the use of precision weaponry."

16:59 - Two men killed by rocket impact near Nahariya

Two men were declared dead after they were critically wounded by a rocket that directly hit a building and exploded in the coastal town of Nahariya in northern Israel.

In another, separate incident, two other men were lightly wounded by shrapnel from another impact in nearby Kibbutz Kabri.

Overall, around 10 rockets were launched in the attack, of which several were intercepted while others managed to evade the IDF's air defenses.

16:41 - Two people sustain minor injuries from shrapnel at an intersection near Nahariya

Following the sirens a few minutes ago, three rockets were intercepted in the Western Galilee, Gush Dan, central Israel, and the Sharon region.

There were initial reports of a direct hit on Nahariya, which injured two people.

16:37 - Sirens sounded in numerous areas in northern and central Israel following projectiles that crossed from Lebanon

16:07 - Kfir Brigade continues operations in northern Gaza

The IDF said today that over the past week, troops of the Kfir Brigade have been conducting raids to neutralize the Hamas threat in the area of Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip.

During the operations, Israeli troops located and destroyed several rocket launchers aimed at communities near the Gaza Strip. The troops also located Hamas uniforms, military equipment, AK-47 rifles, and weapon components.
The soldiers also eliminated several terrorists in close-quarters combat. The terrorists had barricaded themselves in a building from which they conducted attacks against troops in the area.

After eliminating the terrorists, the building, which served as their military headquarters, was dismantled.

Yesterday, four soldiers from the Kfir Brigade were killed during combat operations.

15:15 - Drone intercepted in Upper Galilee

The IDF announced that following the sirens that sounded between 14:18 and 14:24 in the Upper Galilee and Western Galilee areas, one UAV was identified falling in an open area near Ben Ami. No reports of injuries have been received.

14:20 - Sirens sounded in the Western Galilee area, northern Israel

14:15 - IAF intercepts drone in Western Galilee

The IDF announced that following the sirens that sounded between 13:52 and 13:55 in the Western Galilee area, the IAF intercepted a UAV that crossed into Israel from Lebanon. There were no reported injuries.

14:05 - Lebanese media reports 13 airstrikes in Dahiya since this morning

Following several warnings throughout the day from IDF Arabic Spokesman Avichay Adraee, warning residents to flee ahead of IDF airstrikes, Lebanese media are reporting that 13 airstrikes have been carried out in Beirut's Dahiya suburb since this morning. Lt. Col. Adraee issued three different evacuation notices to residents of the area throughout the morning. Dahiya is a Hezbollah-dominated suburb of Beirut. Before the IDF ground incursion into southern Lebanon, and the increased bombing campaign, access to the Dahiya neighborhood was heavily restricted by Hezbollah.

13:59 - Sirens sounded in the Western Galilee area, northern Israel

13:31 - 2 launches towards Haifa Bay fall in open areas

The IDF announced that following the sirens that sounded at 12:55 in the Haifa Bay and Upper Galilee areas, two projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon and falling into an open area. Interceptors were launched toward the targets.

13:18 - Netanyahu's office releases statement condemning arrest of Eli Feldstein as 'politically motivated'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office released a statement this afternoon condemning the arrest and detention of Eli Feldstein as "politically motivated."

"It hurts us very much that young people's lives are being destroyed with empty pretexts, in order to harm the right-wing government," the statement said.

The office accused investigators of illegally detaining Feldstein in an attempt to harm Netanyahu.

"In a democratic country, people are not detained for 20 days in basements for leaking – while preventing them from meeting with a lawyer for many days – just to extract false statements against the prime minister," the statement continued. "This abuse is all the more outrageous because not a single investigation has been conducted into the flood of criminal leaks from the cabinet and negotiating staff throughout the war year."

12:56 - Sirens sounded in Haifa, Acre, and surrounding areas, in northern Israel.

12:52 - Mossad and NSC warn of threats to Israelis in Thailand

Following reports by Thai police of potential threats to Israelis attending Koh Phangan’s “Full Moon” festival in southern Thailand, the Mossad and the National Security Council (NSC) confirmed that there is concern of harm to Israelis and Jews there. They called on Israeli and Jewish travelers there to "sharpen their alertness." The level of travel warning has not changed, but Israelis were recommended to avoid attending large events and entertainment venues affiliated with Israel, and Israeli or Jewish symbols should be downplayed or hidden. Authorities also told the travelers not to share location information and travel plans on social media.

COGAT announced that "as part of the effort and commitment to increase the volume and routes of aid to the Gaza Strip, the “Kisufim” Crossing was opened today (Tuesday) for the transfer of humanitarian aid trucks.

11:34 - Hamas says Tulkarem terror cell commander died in 'cowardly assassination'

Hamas said on Tuesday that Tulkarem terror cell commander Tareq Ghanem Zidan had been killed in a "cowardly assassination." However, according to reports on other Palestinian social media accounts, Zidan was wounded in an explosion on Saturday night and was later pronounced dead.

10:30 - Drone hits kindergarten near Haifa, children unharmed, no sirens were heard

The IDF is investigating why sirens did not sound in the area of a Haifa area kindergarten, where children were gathered when a drone launched from Lebanon struck their school. Minimal damage was done to the building, and no children were harmed as they were already in the shelter. While the event is over, the IDF is still investigating the matter.

National Unity Party leader Benny Gantz has openly criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over "evading responsibility" in forming a committee to investigate the failures of October 7. Gantz wrote on X that it is the "moral duty" of the PM to those who were murdered as well as to their families, and the families of the hostages that still remain in Gaza.

09:34 - Al-Mayadeen reports 4 wounded in claimed IDF drone attack in Marwaniya, southern Lebanon

Hezbollah-affiliated news site Al-Mayadeen reported four people wounded as a result of an "Israeli drone attack" in the town of Marwaniya in southern Lebanon.

09:31 - Sirens sound in Galilee over suspicion of drone incursion

A short while ago, sirens were sounded in the Western Galilee and Upper Galilee areas, following the identification of several suspicious aerial targets that crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory.
The targets are being monitored by the Israeli Air Force (IAF) and the incident is still ongoing.

08:19 - DM Katz - 'No ceasefire in Lebanon until war goals are achieved'

In a message posted to his 𝕏 account this morning, Defense Minister Israel Katz wrote: "The remarkable and powerful actions carried out by the IDF and security agencies against Hezbollah, and the elimination of Nasrallah, represent a picture of victory. We must continue offensive operations to further degrade Hezbollah's capabilities and to fully realize the fruits of victory.

There will be no ceasefire in Lebanon, nor any lull. We will continue to strike Hezbollah with full force until we achieve the war’s objectives. Israel will not agree to any settlement that does not guarantee Israel’s right to enforce and prevent terrorism on its own. Achieving the war objectives in Lebanon includes disarming Hezbollah, removing it to beyond the Litani River, and ensuring the safe return of the northern residents to their homes."

06:00 - IDF announces names of four soldiers killed in Gaza fighting yesterday

The IDF announced this morning that four soldiers were killed during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip yesterday.

The four soldiers were identified as:

Staff Sgt. Orr Katz, 20, from Ma’ale Adumim.

Staff Sgt. Nave Yair Asulin, 21, from Carmit.

Staff Sgt. Gary Lalhruaikima Zolat, 21, from Afula.

Staff Sgt. Ofir Eliyahu, 20, from Holon.

The soldiers were all members of the Kfir Brigade’s Shimshon Battalion.

The number of soldiers killed in the ground campaign against Hamas in the Gaza Strip and the Gaza border area stands at 375.

04:24 - Palestinian sources report multiple strikes in Gaza Strip

Several Palestinian accounts on social media reported strikes in several locations throughout the Gaza Strip, including the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, Beit Hanoun in the north, and Gaza City. There are reports of several people killed or wounded in the strikes.

02:31 - Dermer met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago Sunday night, ahead of meetings with Biden officials

Strategic Affairs Secretary Ron Dermer met U.S. President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Sunday evening, Israeli officials said. Dermer also met with Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner. He is expected to meet with officials from the Biden administration in Washington, D.C. later this week.

01:45 - IAF intercepted drone over Golan Heights

Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in the southern Golan area, a UAV that infiltrated Israeli territory from the east was intercepted by the IAF.
