Biden says Israel didn’t bomb Gaza hospital – ‘it was the other team, not you’
TEL AVIV, ISRAEL – American President Joe Biden immediately defended Israel upon landing at Ben-Gurion International Airport on Wednesday and stated to the world that Israel was not responsible for the deadly bombing of the hospital in Gaza yesterday.
Before arriving, it was clear Biden had been briefed on the intelligence showing conclusively that it was a malfunctioning rocket of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad that landed on the hospital.
"It appears that it was done by the other team, not you,” Biden said.
“I was outraged by the bombing of the hospital yesterday,” the president noted.
But he quickly added that “based on what I’ve seen, it was the other team. Not you.”
While acknowledging that “there’s a lot of people out there who are not sure,” the U.S. leader could not have been more definitive in his defense of Israel’s innocence in the matter.
Hours before Air Force One landed in Tel Aviv, Israel released incontrovertible evidence – including audio intercepts and video surveillance footage – proving that it was a malfunctioning rocket fired from inside Gaza by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, not Israel, that crashed into the hospital, causing explosions and many deaths and injuries.
