More than half of Israelis say government should abide by court decision if it strikes down Reasonableness Law
Just over half of the respondents to a Channel 12 news poll said the government should abide by a possible High Court ruling to strike down the Reasonableness Standard Law that was passed by the Knesset on July 20.
In the poll released on Friday, 51% said the government should abide by such a ruling, 20% said it should ignore the court, and 29% they were not sure how the government should act.
The court will hear eight petitions against the Reasonableness Law on Sept. 12, in an unprecendent hearing to be presided over by all 15 judges of the High Court.
